Tessa Emily Hall writes inspirational yet authentic YA fiction to show teenagers they’re not alone in their struggles. The debut novel she wrote at 16-years-old, PURPLE MOON (Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas) was a Selah 2014 Finalist. Her second YA novel, UNWRITTEN MELODY, released with Clean Reads fall 2016. She’s the Founder of, a magazine that inspires teens to embrace their calling, and is a columnist for Broken But Priceless Magazine.

Cherrilynn loves to promote writers. Her passion is to pray for and encourage her brothers and sisters in Christ. She is the Associate Editor at Almost an Author, an online site for aspiring writers. Cherrilynn considers it an honor to speak and teach at ladies events. Cherrilynn served in the Navy and Air National Guard; earning the John Levitow Military leadership award.

Patty is a homeschool mom and the director and Co-Founder of the Peace Bear Project, As a former elementary teacher, Patty has an affinity for board books and children's picture books. She and Cyle have been married for 15 years.

Hope Bolinger


Hope Bolinger is a professional writing major at Taylor University. She has served in various roles at IlluminateYA Fiction, Hartline Literary Agency, N 2 Publishing, and The Echo. Over 150 of her works have appeared in publications such as Christian Communicator and Church Libraries, including her most recent success of placing in the Searchlight Playwrighting Contest for her one-act, “Hindsight.” When she’s not writing or wallowing in homework, she spends time with her family in the beautiful, miserable state of Ohio. She enjoys hanging out with her parents, two siblings, and incredibly fat cat “Twix.”

Cassia Schaar is an award-winning Canadian writer, who’s actively pursuing a spot on the New York Times bestseller’s list. Her YA science-fiction and fantasy stories feature diverse characters who prove that age doesn’t limit courage. As a zealous business student, she has a passion for teaching authors about marketing and strives to learn the ins and outs of the publishing industry. Besides a love for books, Cassia is a thrill-seeker who’s addicted to rock climbing and will never pass up frozen yogurt or waffles with maple syrup.

Stephanie is a professional writer and former journalist who has a heart for sharing raw stories and encouraging authors to write for Jesus. Although she grew up reading books, writing them became her accidental passion. She's currently pursuing publication for her first novel and she spends her quiet moments immersed in poetry, or blogging about her adventures with God. Hannah Whatley


Hannah Whatley is an English major studying online through Lumerit Unbound. Books have been her most treasured possessions since she learned to read, her greatest punishment as a child being when her books were taken away. She is incredibly grateful to be working as an intern with Hartline, knowing that she is helping promote other authors’ work and gaining experience in the literary industry. When she is not working for Hartline or on school, she is listening to folksy music by The Gray Havens, The Oh Hellos, and Needtobreathe or the poetic lyrics of Owl City and Andrew Peterson; reading poetry by Mary Oliver or novels by Charles Martin; playing violin; doing household chores; or studying business books in preparation to start the bookstore and arts school she dreams of opening. She lives with her parents and her dog, TJ, in east Mississippi.
